Independence Civic Center Independence, OR

Independence is a small community in northwest Oregon. Its new Civic Center, located on South Main Street in historic downtown Independence, overlooking the Willamette River, houses City administration offices, police department offices, and public meeting space. The Independence Civic Center is a brownfield redevelopment project: the site was formerly used for public works storage by a utility company, and its contaminated soil was cleaned up during construction.
