Impressed by streetscaping improvements along Chicago’s most prominent street, Michigan Avenue, the suburban Village of Hinsdale desired similar improvements for its downtown streets. The Village installed new planting beds, benches, and lighting in its downtown, thereby enhancing the Village center’s appeal, particularly for pedestrians. Plantings provide year-round interest, and include bright spring tulips, bold summer tropicals, and ornamental fall cabbages.
